Hi all!

I hope you have been receiving blessing upon blessing in this season of your life. Remember that the Lord is faithful, and regardless of your circumstances, He remains in control. Let's talk about control and how it has impacted my life. For those who know me, you're aware that I take initiative in situations. I enjoy taking charge and being a leader because it's one of my strengths. But your greatest strength is also your greatest weakness. There have been events in my life that have instilled in me the importance of being independent and taking care of things myself. What started out as a survival instinct ultimately became a growing point, and something I needed to work through. We know the counter to control is surrender. I've had to incorporate surrender in every aspect of my life, many, many times a day. Because control is an illusion. We are not in control of anything. The Lord is in control of every situation, and that will never change. Surrendering things to Him simply lets us have peace, and that is so freeing. Knowing someone will work all things out for good, and knowing the person who loves you the most is taking care of you, allows us to walk freely. My challenge to you guys is to pick a situation you can't let go of, and surrender it to the Lord, lay it at the feet of Jesus. Simply pray and say, "Lord, I give up this situation and I trust you with it." It seriously changes your mental perspective and brings comfort. Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the rest it brings.
